Prometa
Prometa targets the biology of addiction by integrating a physician based treatment program designed to reverse the changes to brain chemistry that occurs with alcohol, cocaine, or methamphetamine dependence.  Prometa involves a series of outpatient treatments combined with counseling and medications in combination with nutritional therapies to help with withdrawal symptoms.

Prometa focuses on the underlying physiology of addiction and targets the specific receptors in the brain that research has shown to play a role in the disease process.  Prometa is also designed to address the physical symptoms of dependence like drug cravings, withdrawal, and anxiety.  The counseling component helps to address the psychological issues involved in addiction.  It has been shown in the research that combining medical therapies with counseling improves the outcome greatly.  Behavioral therapy is designed to help patients develop skills and habits that can improve relationships, increase productivity at work and improve health and mood.
